The always innovative, experimental attitude of Subtones, the groove team led by trumpeter Gábor Subicz, is unchanged, they have recently added new colors to their musical palette. In their new, extended line-up, vocalists Vera Jónás and Flóra Kiss are putting more emphasis on songs, while percussionist-beatboxer Dávid Szarvas moves the brigade towards African rhythms and urban musical sounds. The seasoned team of Dávid Benkő, Zsolt Csókás, Tibor Fonay and László Csízi, melts as some funk-jazz lava the new members and the most diverse musical worlds, giving space both for raw-boned song forms and ambitious improvisations.
