Four world stars will be performing a Monday session at Opus Jazz Club on this extraordinary day. The members of the international quartet, created by the great Polish pianist Piotr Wyleżoł, are already well known to the club's audience: the American saxophonist Andy Middleton, who has been living in Vienna for some time, is a regular guest at Kálmán Oláh's performances, while Ferenc Németh, who has been based in New York for two decades, is an inescapable drummer on the American jazz scene, having played alongside legends such as Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Christian McBride and Terence Blanchard.

Quartet leader Piotr Wyleżoł is a returning star in the club’s 10-year history, most recently joined on the stage by Jeff Ballard and David Dorůžka. Over the past decade, the extraordinary talent of the multi-faceted double bassist Michał Barański has been on display at numerous concerts in the Polska Jazz series. The superlatives could go on and on, but one thing is for sure: witty compositions, rich improvisations, impressive instrumental arrangements and inspired interplay await jazz fans this evening.
