The Egri & Pertis Piano Duo's concert series "Crosstalks", presenting the interaction of co-arts, launches its third season with a concert centred on folk music. The concert will evoke composers of classical music whose style had been deeply influenced by folk music. How can a classically trained composer absorb folk music? What is the importance of collecting folk music, and is it even possible to record folk songs with classical notation? What kind of training does a folk musician receive and does he or she have to practise in the classical sense? The answer will be provided by works by Grieg, Dvořák and Bartók, while the "inspirational side", folk music, will be represented by the evening's artistic guests, the Liszt Prize-winning singer Andrea Navratil and the Kobzos ensemble, with breathtakingly beautiful folk songs and Moldavian Csángó dance tunes.

The host of "Crosstalks" will again be Szilvia Becze, the popular editor and presenter of Bartók Radio. The language of the conversation is Hungarian.

The series is sponsored by OTP Bank.
