"I am attached to Baroque music and to the music of earlier ages the most - and of course to contemporary music" - said Bánk Sáry in a recent interview. However, his recently finished composition called "The Eternal Poem" goes back even further both in time and space: it evokes a Chinese poet who lived 1300 years ago.

Janàček's string ensemble piece alludes to a particularly baroque genre, while László Sáry's composition, finished in 2017, was composed for the 200th anniversary of the birth of the poet János Arany. The Classic Lights 3 new season will show new and interesting perspectives of these compositions and composers.
